You have to keep in mind that people will say things to you just because they think thats what you want to hear, and I’m guessing that is what you wanted to hear. But…we also MUST REMEMBER that actions are the proof of what they say. now his/her actions arent really screaming love or commitment. You said you were just “talking” for a year. If he/she said he/she loved you, why would they put you on the sidelines like that?
In my opinion, it seems as though he/she puts you on the sidelines as a “just in case”. He/she might really love you but that person doesnt love you enough to make things official.
I know this was a long one but I see these types of problems waaaaay too much. So all in all, what do you do? You move on to someone who will love you as a man or woman should.

Dear Anonymous,
Well, we have to take into consideration how long you guys have been “talking”. If you feel like its been a while, he might be scoping out his other options or he could have commitment issues, but if he did really like you, why wouldn’t he want to be with you? Ask him and voice your emotions and see what happens. If he constantly makes excuses…its up to you if you think he’s worth the wait.
